Internship Opportunities:
Internships with
CoachArt offer the experience to work directly with the Program Director and
Outreach Director to ensure a quality program and to expand program services to
new students in the greater Los Angeles area. Internship projects are tailored
to each intern’s interests and the needs of the organization. Possible projects
include the following:
- Program: Interact with CoachArt students and families to monitor attendance,
conduct evaluations, provide on-site evaluations, attend student first lessons
and update student records; assist staff with the hospital workshop program by
attending workshops, communicating with volunteers and monitoring supplies; assist
staff in the planning and execution of program events; input student data and create
reports
- Recruitment: Assist staff with recruitment of community
program partners and volunteer coaches; develop strategies to increase numbers
of students and coaches involved in CoachArt program
- Marketing: Update and create the text and images for fliers, brochures and
other print media; assist with the
development of recruitment tools for new students and volunteers; manage online
social media outlets
Requirements:
Interested applicants must
be able to work independently, demonstrate a high level of commitment and have
a positive attitude! Word processing, database management and Internet research
experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desired, but not required.
Though CoachArt is
unable to provide financial compensation to interns, CoachArt is flexible with
intern schedules and can record hours for class credit or community
service. CoachArt considers
interns on an ongoing basis throughout the year and requests a minimum 120-hour
commitment.
