Activity Clinics
CoachArt's Activity Clinics provide short- term instructive settings for a small group of youth to learn a new skill and interact with other children. Children that have had extensive hospital visits often feel isolated from their peers. Activity clinics provide a fun social environment to bring them back to normalcy.
Activity clinics range in time frames from a 90-minute hip-hop dance clinic to a four week soccer clinic. Students participating in clinics often find this to be a great introduction to committing to the Outpatient Mentoring program.
Community Events
CoachArt organizes cultural, educational and recreational activities for chronically ill children and their families. Community events are offered throughout the year and include family guided museum tours, athletic events, dance performances, and adaptive recreation programs. CoachArt's community events provide students with unique, educational and challenging activities that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in. These special events promote a new sense of self-confidence as students learn teamwork, dedication, and how to overcome their fears.
