CoachArt’s Outpatient Coaching lessons take place once a week for a series of ten weeks. This process occurs four times a year. To facilitate this process, CoachArt staff members call each family to identify the best lesson opportunity based on the child’s individual needs and preferences. CoachArt lessons take place at Program Partner locations in the neighborhoods where students live. Volunteer coaches can also conduct lessons in the homes of children who would benefit most from one-on-one attention or those who have limited access to transportation. At the end of the 10-week session, CoachArt children can choose to continue taking the same lesson or to enroll in a different activity. All lessons are provided at no cost to coaches or families, and CoachArt pays for all equipment, lesson materials and necessary transportation expenses.
