Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with CoachArt!
Our volunteer mentors are talented individuals with experience in the arts and athletics. Mentors have taught a variety of activities from music, photography, cooking and acting to dancing, golf, soccer and more. Mentors provide a positive experience to chronically ill youth and their siblings. These individuals donate their time and instruction to our students. Our goal is to promote normalcy and personal development in kids who truly need it.
CoachArt volunteers provide activities to CoachArt students both inside and outside the hospital through outpatient mentoring, activity clinics, in-hospital workshops and community events. Each of these opportunities is discussed in detail at the volunteer orientation.
All prospective volunteers must:
- Attend an orientation
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Complete a background check
- Be free of communicable disease or blood-borne illnesses
