Become a Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with CoachArt!
Our volunteer coaches are talented individuals with experience in art, music, photography, cooking, yoga, acting, dancing and more who want to provide a positive experience to chronically ill youth and their siblings. These individuals donate their time and instruction to our students. Our goal is to promote normalcy and personal development in kids who truly need it.
CoachArt volunteers provide activities to CoachArt students both inside and outside the hospital through our Outpatient Coaching program and In-Hospital workshops. Each of these opportunities is discussed in detail at our orientation.
All prospective volunteers must:
Attend an orientation
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a U.S. social security number for a background check
Not carry a communicable disease or blood-borne illness
Upcoming Orientations
Orientations take place monthly at 3303 Wilshire Boulevard, (UTLA Building, corner of Wilshire & Berendo) Los Angeles, CA 90010. Please contact Outreach Coordinator, Becca Herrman at becca@coachart.org or (213) 736-2850 for more information about volunteer orientations. If you cannot attend a regularly scheduled orientation session, please contact us as orientation meetings can be held in alternate locations.
